Visualization 1. Prototype "Risk Gel" visualization designed to provide a physician with a broad overview of a patient's longitudinal history, based on de-identified sample data. Each small colored bar represents a diagnosis recorded for the sample patient at a particular point in time (chronologically from top to bottom), in one of 12 general clinical categories. The color of each bar represents the abuse risk associated with the particular diagnosis (green = low, yellow = medium, red = high). The blue arrow on the right indicates the point in time at which high domestic abuse risk would have first been detected. For this sample patient, with few visits stored in the dataset, abuse risk would have been detected 27 months before the first recorded abuse diagnosis (blue line at the bottom).
